What is JERSEY BOYS about?
JERSEY BOYS is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi. This is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty. The musical features such Four Seasons' hits as "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Sherry," "Walk Like A Man," "December, 1963" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You."
JERSEY BOYS is directed by Tony Award®-winner Des McAnuff (700 Sundays, The Who's Tommy, Big River), with book by Academy Award®-winner Marshall Brickman ("Annie Hall," "The Tonight Show") & Rick Elice (Double Double), music by Bob Gaudio (founding member of The Four Seasons), lyrics by Bob Crewe (writer/producer for The Four Seasons) and choreography by Sergio Trujillo (All Shook Up).
